“I thought we performed well,” Fountain said. “We definitely have room for improvement. We moved Brady Howell to a plug back and fullback. He did well. That was a good surprise.”

Fountain said he was pleased with how well the boys played because the Canoe school entered the game without two of its starters due to injury.

“That was a positive for us,” he said. “We really looked strong up front.”

Defensively, Fountain said no points were scored against the Cougars.

“Some of the ones we lost (due to graduation) are going to be tough to replace for next year,” he said. “We’ve got to have a good summer of work, and focus.”

Summer workouts for EA begin next Mon., May 31.
