Atmore 8U and 12U Cal Ripken All-Stars will be playing in district tournaments next week, officials announced today.

The 8U tournament will feature four teams in Excel, while the 12U tournament is slated to have three teams competing in Atmore.

Both are District 8 tournaments, and formats are double elimination.

The following are the first-round games of each age group:

8U at Excel

June 11 – NWE vs. Flomaton, 5:30 p.m.; Atmore vs. Monroe, 7 p.m.

12U at Atmore

June 11 – Flomaton vs. Atmore, 6 p.m.

No outside food or drink are allowed in both ball parks. Team coolers are permitted.

Admission for both tournaments is $5 for those age 18 and older. Those 17 and younger admission is free.
