Hawt Mess Boutique received a Main Street Atmore facade grant, according to officials.

Main Street Atmore Executive Director Niki Bryan said the local boutique was chosen as the trial applicant for the program, which is funded and administered by MSA.

“The old radio shack building was renovated this year for the boutique located at 112 S. Main St.,” Bryan said. “The funds were applied to the new sign on the building.”

Bryan said funds are available for exterior improvements only, and may be applied to a front, side or rear façade, provided the façade faces a public street or public parking area.

“The program is designed to give property owners and business owners financial assistance for façade improvement,” she said.

Bryan said a public meeting will be announced soon to provide more information and how to apply for the grant.
