The Alabama Association of School Boards will be holding community meetings June 7-8 to help assist in its search for the next superintendent of the Escambia County School System.

Former Superintendent John Knott announced his retirement in late April.

According to a release, the community meetings are being held to gather information from the community and employees about what they would like to see in the next superintendent.
