Born in Mobile on Nov. 9, 1936, Mitzi Trent Fitzpatrick, formerly of Atmore, passed away on April 3, 2020 at her home in Daphne.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, James (Rudy) Fitzpatrick; and her parents, Robert and Beatrice Trent.

She is survived by three sons, Jay (Tootie) Blacksher of Gooding, Idaho, Mike (Patty) Fitzpatrick of Virginia Beach, Va. and Scott Fitzpatrick of Daphne; two daughters, Rebecca (William) Snyder of Auburn and Kathy Fitzpatrick (Richard Gwaltney) of Virginia Beach; nine grandchildren, Cheyanna (Jimmy) Lierman, Savannah Snyder, Rachel Snyder, Laura-Beth, Erin, Ella and Mary Scott Fitzpatrick, Conner and Catie Fitzpatrick; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Tad Lierman; her honoray “sisters,” Becky Witt and Vicki Rhodes; as well as her special friends, Nancy Williams, Dale Ash and Linda Parsons.

Everyone is invited to her celebration of life service, which will be held on Sun., June 27, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 311 South Pensacola Avenue in Atmore.

In lieu of flowers, Mitzi requested that any donations given in her memory to benefit her beloved Escambia Academy, 208 Cowpen Creek Rd., Atmore, AL, 36502.
