Sen. Greg Albritton and the Alabama Forestry Association (AFA) on June 24 held a “Back the Blue” event at the Excel Fire station.

Albritton and AFA thanked and fed lunch to around 150 first responders in the Escambia County area.

“Our law enforcement puts their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. One of my top priorities is supporting and defending those who wear the badge,” said Senator Albritton. “Helping feed these local heroes is my honor.”

Albritton and AFA hosted three “Back the Blue” events in Clarke, Monroe and Escambia Counties last week. About 450 first responders were thanked and fed.

Albritton’s senate district covers Clarke, Washington, Escambia, and parts of Monroe and Baldwin counties.

Albritton is running for reelection for Senate District 22 in the general election on Nov. 8, 2022.

The AFA is one of the largest state forestry associations in the country with membership that includes forest products manufacturers, landowners, loggers, wood dealers, foresters, consultants, and others involved in forestry. AFA is dedicated to protecting and improving the business, regulatory and legal environment for landowners and forest business owners to ensure profitable and sustainable operations.
