Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Many of my family and friends called me “Blackey,” “Smokey” or “MJ.”

I was born on Feb. 26, 1959 in Castleberry to Margaret Ree Jenkins and Earnest McPherson, who both preceded me in death.

I lived in Huntsville for the past 23 years. In 2014, I accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior while attending the House of Prayers, which I made my church home.

Those that I cherished are my daughters, Twolla R. Drakeford and Lavonda K. Kenkins, both of Brewton; my son, Spencer D. Jenkins of Huntsville; my sister, Jeannette Jenkins of Crestview, Fla.; my brothers, Daniel Lee Jenkins and MoJay Jenkins, both of Crestview; my special friend, Gleberk Marshall of Columbus, Ga.; my godson, Tristan Moore of Brewton.

My special bond also extended to my 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services were entrusted to Christian Memorial Funeral Home.
