The Yellow Hats Society (YHS) celebrated its ribbon cutting on July 28 at the mural beside the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce building.

The YHS was formed in 2005, and participates in community activities, gives back to local nursing homes and provides aid to the community when in need.

“We’re building bridges, not walls,” YHS Member Lillie Johnson said.
