Escambia County fell 35-6 to Bayside Academy today in its season opener in Daphne.
The football game was held today because rain and lightning postponed the game from Friday.
At halftime, Bayside held a 28-0 lead. Going into the fourth quarter, BA led 35-0.
ECHS got on board after a 5-yard touchdown rush from quarterback Anthony McCants with 1:12 left in the game. The point after try was blocked.
ECHS visits T.R. Miller next Friday night.
