APD investigating shooting at Chevron station

Police officials are investigating a shooting that occurred tonight at the Chevron gas station on South Main Street, Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks said.

Brooks said the gas station attendant called the police after hearing gun shots outside. Brooks said the APD was called at 6:38 p.m.

“Officers arrived and found a gas pump nozzle lying on the ground,” he said. “Also found was spent shell casings. No injuries have been reported.”

Brooks said those who were involved fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.

The APD continues to investigate the shooting.
