The Escambia County Schools board of education adopted a resolution to extend COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave (EPSLA) during its special-called meeting on Aug. 27.

The resolution falls under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) extending under the American Recovery Plan Act of 2021.

The resolution is effective Aug. 1, 2021 through Sept. 30, 2021.

In other business, the board:

• heard a presentation of the fiscal year 2020 audit by the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts;

• approved to revise the 2021-22 salary schedule;

• approved to revise the 2021-22 supplement salary schedule; and,

• approved the following personnel recommendations;
