Johnny Wayne Smith, 72, of Atmore, passed away on Sept. 22, 2021 in Atmore.

He was born September 19, 1949 in Atmore to the late William Rayford and Jeanette Day Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Coby Smith; and two brothers, Jackie and Larry Sims.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Debbie Smith; three sons, Tommy Smith, Marty Smith and Levi (Codi) Smith; one brother, Jimmy Sims of Spanish Fort; two sisters, Cheryl Snider and Debbie (Quinton) Rowell; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held on Sept. 26, 2021 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joseph T. Simpson officiating with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Presley Street Baptist Church, Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
