Morris Ropp, 89, of Bemidji, Minn. and Atmore, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sept. 25, 2021 while his wife Norma Joan (Miller) Ropp of 67 years was holding his hand.

He was born in Kalona, IA on April 26, 1932 into the family of Solomon C. and Vesta (Yoder) Ropp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings; and two daughters in law, Fayetta (Dale) Schrock/Ropp and Carmen (Sanford) Kulzer/Ropp.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Joan Ropp; six children, Debora of Kenora, Ont., Dale of Bemidji, Donna (Ellis Beery) of Mt. Crawford, Va., Judith (Dale Huber) of Atmore, Joann (Nevin Nisly) of Partridge, Kan. and Sanford of (Wamesa Beckman), Newbern, N.C.; 25 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held this Fri., Oct.1, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Mennonite Christian Fellowship.

Funeral services will be held this Sat., Oct. 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Mennonite Christian Fellowship with Blaine Copenhaver officiating and Anthony Swartzendruber bringing the message.

Interment will follow in Freemanville Community Cemetery.
