The Atmore City Council approved the Concerned Citizens of Atmore’s request to hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade during its regularly-scheduled meeting on Nov. 8.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be held on Mon., Jan. 17, 2022.

In other business, the council:

• approved the board of equalization reappointment of Debbie Rowell; and,

• adopted a proclamation, declaring November as National Homecare and Hospice Month.
