The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced Nov. 16 that 16 positive COVID-19 tests have been reported out of its two hospitals over the last seven days.

According to the ECHCA, 2,852 positive tests have been reported from Atmore Community Hospital and D.W. McMillan.

The ECHA releases its COVID-19 report every Tuesday.

According to a release, 14 (plus 14) positive tests were reported each from ACH and two (minus two) were reported from DWM over the last seven days.

According to the ECHCA, Escambia County’s positive rate is 7.4 percent, which is up more than 2 percent from last week. Over the last seven days, there have been nine NAAT tests performed.

Due to the timing of the information, the numbers may differ from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.

Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
