Escambia County’s boys and girls split in county basketball tournament action tonight in Brewton.

The No. 3 Blue Devils beat W.S. Neal 64-22, and the girls fell 57-49 to T.R. Miller.

ECHS boys 64, WSN boys 22

Three finished in double figures for Escambia County.

Sheldon Williams led with 15 points; Conor McPherson added 11 points; and Lacarlos Thomas chipped in 10 points. Xavion Gee and Hakeem Johnson had nine points each.

Caleb (last name not available) led WSN with 13 points.

Williams finished with five rebounds and three assists on the night. Stephen Williams added four rebounds in the mix.

TRM girls 57, ECHS girls 49

Jayla Adams led the Lady Blue Devils with 24 points. C’anna Betts added 20 points.

Ty’Keria Wright led the Lady Tigers with 21 points. Jaden Mitchell and Violet Kiser scored 14 points each.

The boys and girls close out their tournament play tomorrow. The girls play WSN at 3:30 p.m. The boys play Flomaton at 5 p.m.
