Escambia County beat Flomaton 50-25 Saturday night to win the county boys basketball tournament at W.S. Neal.

The Blue Devils were led by Conor McPherson and Sheldon Williams, who scored 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Flomaton’s Glenn led the Canes with 11 points.

At halftime, ECHS led 26-7.

Williams added 12 rebounds and seven steals in the win.

In girls action, the Lady Blue Devils beat W.S. Neal 54-28 to finish in second place.

C’anna Betts led ECHS with 19 points, and Jayla Adams contributed with 17.

Fri., Dec. 9

ECHS boys 64, WSN boys 22

Three finished in double figures for Escambia County.

Sheldon Williams led with 15 points; Conor McPherson added 11 points; and Lacarlos Thomas chipped in 10 points. Xavion Gee and Hakeem Johnson had nine points each.

Caleb (last name not available) led WSN with 13 points.

Williams finished with five rebounds and three assists on the night. Stephen Williams added four rebounds in the mix.

TRM girls 57, ECHS girls 49

Jayla Adams led the Lady Blue Devils with 24 points. C’anna Betts added 20 points.

Ty’Keria Wright led the Lady Tigers with 21 points. Jaden Mitchell and Violet Kiser scored 14 points each.

Thurs., Dec. 8

ECHS 59, TRM 30

Conor McPherson and Sheldon Williams led ECHS with 20 and 19 points, respectively. Xavion Gee contributed with six points; Hakeem Johnson and Terrence McNeil had five points each.

The Blue Devils led 29-19 at halftime.

ECHS girls 43, FHS girls 38

Escambia County’s C’anna Betts and Jayla Adams led the Lady Blue Devils with 21 and 17 points, respectively.

Briana Stuckey led FHS with 23 points. Jalia Lassiter added eight points.

A close game throughout, the Lady Blue Devils outscored FHS 10-9 in the first period, 7-6 in the second and 12-11 in the third.
