Santa Claus is coming back to Atmore.

According to city officials, Santa will be traveling throughout the town atop of the department’s fire engines during the week of Christmas.

Mayor Jim Staff said Santa will be riding in certain grids of the city, waving to all.

Santa will be riding Dec. 20-21 and 23, from around 4:30 p.m. until around 8 p.m. or when they cover each grid each day.

The northeast and northwest sections will be covered on Dec. 20; the southeastern side will be on Dec. 21; and the southwestern side will be covered on Dec. 23.

The event is sponsored by the city.
