An Atmore man died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Highway 21, approximately 12 miles north of the city limits in Escambia County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Senior Trooper Anna Peoples said in a release that James Millikan, 63, was fatally injured when the 2003 Chevrolet pickup he was driving collided with a 2019 Kenworth tractor trailer driven by Daniele Grace, 44, of Frisco City.

“A passenger in the Chevrolet, Karen Millikan, 60, of Atmore, was transported to an area hospital,” Peoples said.

Nothing further is available as troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
