ECHS plays Leflore tonight at 6 in tournament semifinals
Escambia County beat Murphy 53-42 in the first round of the Gulf Coast Holiday Classic at the University of Mobile on Monday.
The No. 2 Blue Devils advance to face Leflore tonight at 6 in the tournament semifinals.
Sheldon Williams led ECHS with a double-double 11 points and 10 rebounds. He added four assists, two blocks and a steal.
Conor McPherson contributed with 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and steals each and a block.
Stephen Williams had 10 points and eight rebounds. Hakeem Johnson added 10 points and five rebounds, along with four assists in the win.
