On Dec. 29, 1955, Vera Theresa Barlow was born to Walter and Bessie Barlow.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and 12 siblings.

She is survived by a son, John (Crystal) Oakes of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter, Michelle (Travis) Flowers of Uriah; grandchildren, Theresa (Labon) Turk of Uriah, Amber (Logan) Boatwright of Atmore, Austin Flowers of Uriah and Mason Flowers of Uriah; and great-grandchildren, Castiel and Rowan Turk of Uriah and Kennedy and Rhett Turk of Atmore.

She is survived by six siblings, Walter “Tobe” (Bobbie) Barlow Jr. of Shepherd, Texas, Margaret Ann (Larson) Bryars of Perdido, Judy Rathsack of Atmore, Donald Barlow of Nokomis, Fla., Frank “Dunky” (Shirley) Barlow of Nokomis, Ala. and Debbie Barlow of Nokomis, Fla.

A celebration of life will be held for her at Johnson Quimby Funeral Home at 4 p.m. on Jan. 17, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you make a donation in her memory to your charity of choice.
