BCSO investigating officer-involved shooting in Perdido

The Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred this morning in Perdido, according to a release.

According to officials, during the early morning hours of Jan. 19, BCSO patrol deputies were investigating a suspicious person in the area of County Road 47 and McCoy Road. Deputies approached the man and identified him as Ronald W. Flowers II, of Bay Minette.

According to officials, while relaying Flowers’ information to dispatch, he produced a firearm and fired at least one round at one of the deputies. Both deputies returned fire and the suspect succumbed to his wound on scene.

The deputies weren’t injured during the incident.
