ECSS schools to close Friday due to weather

Escambia County School System officials announced on their Facebook page Wednesday that because of the winter weather, all schools will be closed tomorrow, Fri., Jan. 21, 2022.
Remote learning will be implemented, officials said. ECSS officials said teachers will send home all remote work assignments today, and school will return on Mon., Jan. 24.
Varsity athletic events will remain on schedule on Friday.
Escambia Academy Headmaster Hugh Fountain announced this morning that school will be canceled tomorrow as well.
Escambia County District Schools (Fla.) have also canceled school tomorrow due to the weather.
Per CACC: Due to multiple area closures and the potential for icy road conditions, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday morning, all campuses of Coastal Alabama Community College will be closed Friday, January 21.
Aviation evening classes, however, will continue as scheduled Friday night.
