An Andalusia woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Feb. 4 at the 53-mile marker on Interstate 65, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Senior Trooper Anna Peoples said in a release that Annie V. Mauldin, 82, was critically injured when the 2004 Toyota 4 Runner she was driving left the roadway and struck a ditch.

Peoples said Mauldin was transported to University Hospital, where on Mon., Feb. 7, she succumbed to her injuries.

Peoples said nothing further is available as troopers with ALEA’s highway patrol division continue to investigate.
