An Atmore man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle wreck involving a school bus, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to an FHP release, at 9 a.m. on Feb. 28, a 75-year-old man had minor injuries after the brown pick up he was driving attempted to pass an Escambia County (Fla.) school bus before striking the bus and then overturning.

FHP officials said there were no children on board the school bus at the time of the collision.

The 63-year-old female driver of the bus, who is from McDavid, Fla., was not injured, according to the FHP.

The crash occurred at County Road 164 east of North Pine Barren Road.
