Wind capable of damage to trees, power lines, structures and crops are forecasted to impact the Atmore area tonight and into the morning tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

According to the NWS’s 4:35 a.m. update, the area is under a moderate risk, and wind gusts up to 80 miles per hour could be possible. Fast-moving tornadoes, some strong, could be present.

Timing of the storm event will be late this afternoon through tonight. A line of storms will be moving fast at highway speeds.
