Mrs. Barbara Ann Blackwell, 78, passed away on Sun., May 1, 2022 in Atmore.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John (Lunette Sheets) Rutherford; husband, Otto Blackwell; and one sister, Nancy Boutwell.
She is survived by her two sons, Greg Blackwell, of Atmore and Pernell Blackwell, of Atmore; one daughter, Rhonda (Wayne) Stringer, of Atmore; one sister, Minnie Skaggs, of Atmore; eight grandchildren, Hannah Blackwell, Wade Blackwell, Kielan, Lord, Chastity Lord Salter, Amber Blackwell, Brandon Moore, Brittany Singleton and Clay Stringer; 16 great-grandchildren, Barrette Finny, Kinly Conway, Robbie Conway, Ty Conway, Kole Lord, Kamden Lord, Drake Robbins, Tori Robbins, Peyton Salter, Gage Bishop, Kason Bishop, Makyla Salter, Kylie Singleton, Ella Grace Moore, Brooklyn Salter and Bailey Blackwell; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be today, Wed., May 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with the Rev. Greg Harris officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was held on May 3, 2022 at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.
Pallbearers will be Barrette Finny, Brando Moore, Clay Stringer, Tyrone Boutwell, Josh Thompson, Wade Blackwell and Wayne Stringer.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC of Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
