Curtis Lavonne Dorriety, 85, of Chunchula. passed away on April 24, 2022.

He was born on March 28, 1937 in Atmore to James and Maggie Hall Dorriety.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Jerry Dorriety and James Edward Dorriety.

He is survived by his daughters, Tonya (Michael) Nelson of Grand Bay, Teresa (Scott) Wall of Chunchula and Wanda (Ricky) Brown of Chunchula; his brothers, Charles Dorriety of Robinsonville and Billy (Connie) Dorriety of Atmore; his sisters, Ersel (Roy) Brackin of Munson, Fla., Doris (James) Lewis of Milton, Fla., Betty Weaver of Booneville and Elizabeth (George) Lundy of Semirah Springs; along with nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on April 28, 2022 at Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery in Huxford with Chaplain Bob Barr officiating.

Active pallbearers were Daryl McDonald Jr., Aaron Sweatt, Mark Watson Jr., Parker McDonald, Daryl McDonald III and Brad Sheffield.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
