Jewel S. Melvin, 83, of Atmore, passed away on April 30, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ollie M. Hayles Stafford; her sisters, Gloria Stafford and Mary Nell Meitzler; and her granddaughter, Tonya Jackson.

She is survived by her sons, Rick (Lana) Melvin of Atmore and Don (Rhonda) Melvin of Atmore; her daughter, Debbie Melvin of Atmore; her grandson, Jason Melvin; and her great-grandchildren, Timothy Melvin and Brittany Gilbert.

Graveside services will be held today, Wed., May 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore with Bro. Earl Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held May 4, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
