ECHS holds Class Day for soon-to-be graduating seniors

Escambia County High School’s Class Day 2022 Friday morning ended the way it began – with celebration.

The soon-to-be graduates were honored during their annual class day, where the class was recognized for their efforts in and out of the classroom.

Awards and scholarships were given, graduates received advanced diplomas and recognitions were given during the ceremony.

Awards and scholarships awarded included the recognition of the top 10; athletic scholarships and senior athletes; the American Red Cross and CNA Pinning; the Randell Gordon Nichols Jr. Memorial Scholarship; the Little Angels Scholarship; the Huntingdon College Scholarship; the First National Bank and Trust scholarship; Mayson Scholarship; ECHS welding, agriscience, cosmetology, JAG, choir and band recognitions; Leo Club; Trustmark Bank, Adrian Marie Downey Scholarship; Atmore Rotary Club’s Academic All-Stars; University of Mobile scholarship; Coastal Alabama Community College dual enrollment recognition; the Alabama A&M Scholarships; the Kearley/Hahn Family Scholarship; National Honor Society; ECHS front office aides; career/tech endorsement diplomas; advanced diplomas; superintendent’s student of the year; senior awards; recognition of Lost Classmate Elijah C. Mallory; flowers given to parents by seniors; a special recognition to Counselor Susan Kirk, Assistant Principal Kevin Everett and Principal Amy Cabaniss; and a senior slideshow with Boyz II Men’s “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.”
