A Milton, Fla. man passed away after being critically injured in a single-vehicle crash on Cowpen Creek Road on April 23, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Senior Trooper Anna Peoples said in a release that the crash occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on April 23.

Peoples said Stephen K. Lodge, 52, was critically injured when the 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and overturned.

“Lodge was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital, where on Wed., May 4, he succumbed to his injuries,” Peoples said.

Peoples said the crash occurred approximately half a mile north of the Atmore city limits.

Nothing further is available as troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
