Brenda Gibbs Wade, passed away at her home on June 5, at the age of 78.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Lloyd Robert Wade Jr.; and survived by her two children, Samantha and Chip (Allison). She had three loving grandchildren, Ella, Ford and Gibbs. Brenda was a loving sister to her three sisters, Girdielene (Shine), Sherry and Marcia; and her brother, Johnny (Julia).

A funeral will be held at the Barrancas National Cemetery at Naval Air Station Pensacola on June 29, at 11:30 a.m. The family will meet attendees between 10:30-11 a.m. at Olive Baptist Church at 103 W. Winthrop Ave. to form a caravan into NAS Pensacola.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set to support the needs of veterans pursuing their studies in the fields of applied sciences.
