EC BOE approves personnel recommendations

The Escambia County School Board met in regular session on Thursday with several items on the lengthy agenda.

During the meeting the board:

 Approved entering into agreement with the Jefferson County Regional Purchasing Cooperative (Purchasing Association of Central Alabama- PACA) for the remainder of fiscal year 2022 and fiscal year 2023 with the option to renew the bid partnership for up to a minimum of five (5) years. The annual rate is $530.05. The amount will be prorated based on the month our organization is approved for the partnership.

 Approval to extend CNP Beverage Bid #2020-5 awarded to Trident Beverage (June 18, 2020) for one (1) year (August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023)

 Approval to extend CNP Milk Products Bid #2020-4 awarded to Borden Dairy (June 18, 2020) for one (1) year (August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023)

 Approval of CNP Supplemental Bid with Osborn Brothers (For procurement of supplemental food and supply items not currently available as part of the statewide purchasing bid list) originally approved July 22, 2021

 Approval to purchase School Forms Solution and JDOX Retention Software programs from Harris School Solutions in the amount of $48,597 (Paid out of ESSER funds)

 Approval to purchase Blocksi Proprietary AI pure cloud solution for K-12 virtual classroom management, content filtering, device management, student safety, and analytics. Three year pricing for the program is $74,538.00 (Paid for out of Title I carry over)

 Approval of residential rental agreement between Shaun Goolsby and the Escambia County Board of Education for property located at 601 Williamson Street, Brewton, AL.

  Approval to enter into an owner/architect agreement between the Escambia County Board of Education and Lathan Associates Architects, P.C. for mechanical upgrades to Escambia County Middle School (LAA Project #22-82)

 Approval to enter into an owner/architect agreement between the Escambia County Board of Education and PH&J Architects, Inc. for new concessions at Escambia County High School and WS Neal High School (PH&J #2216SC)
