Ms. Barbara J Castle, 78, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by Robert and Lois Manning (parents); Ronald Franklin (brother-in-law); and two grandsons, Dylan Tews and Timothy Nelson.

She is survived by her siblings, Gordon Manning, Charles (Theresa) Manning and Linda Franklin; her children, Davona (Randy) Nelson, Kimberly Gordon, Ashley (Tom) Tews and Kenneth “Greg” (Ambre) Castle; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; and her beloved friend, Mary Brown.

The family is holding a private grave side service in Atmore at McCullough Cemetery followed by a celebration of life in Atmore today, July 5, 2022.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
