Franklin Eugene Dortch, 84, of Davisville, Fla., passed away on July 7, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on April 18, 1938 in Bratt, Fla. to Franklin and Medie Sarah Sheffield Dortch.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Wilson Dortch; and 18 siblings.

He is survived by his son, Paul E. (Carolyn) Dortch of Poarch; his daughters, Marliss Dortch of Davisville, Cathryn Dortch (Jimmy) Reynolds of Oak Grove, Fla., Charlotte Dortch (Doug) Purvis of Robinsonville and Shannon Dortch (Michael) Doremus of Bratt; 10 grandchildren, which includes Sgt. Logan Doremus in the United States Marine Corps; and many great-grandchildren, including Pfc. Austin Greenwood in the United States Army.

Graveside services were held on July 9, 2022 at Godwin Cemetery in Bratt with Dr. Tim Tew officiating. Interment followed at Godwin Cemetery.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
