Mrs. Sylvia Austin, 62, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Century, Fla., passed suddenly on Sun., July 3, 2022 at UAB Hospital in Gardendale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Scott Jr. and Lizzie Mae Scott; her grandmother, Gladys Anderson; and her step-daughter, Vickie Curry.

Those left to cherish memories of her life are her husband, Andrew George Austin of Pensacola; her daughter, Pamela Luckie Spears of Pensacola; her son, Eddie Luckie Jr. of Pensacola; three sisters, Sandra Santos of Orlando, Fla., Adrianne Anderson of Century and Linda Anderson of Pensacola; one brother, Preston Scott of Pensacola; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral service was held on July 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century with the Rev. Michael Steward officiating. Inhumation was in Century Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
