Sister Mary Stella McGhee Gibbs, 86, of Atmore, passed away on July 11, 2022 in Pensacola, Fla.
She was born on April 15, 1936 in Atmore to Kinzie and Ethel McGhee.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Fred Gibbs; her siblings, Raymond McGhee, Willie Lois Fore, Joe Frank McGhee and Carolyn Rackard; and her great grandson, David Landon White.

She is survived by her son, David (Patricia) Gibbs of Atmore; her daughter, Rosemary Powell of Atmore; her sister, Betty Ruth (Gene) Sheppard of Dothan; her granddaughters, Ashley (Chad) White, Lindsay (Michael) Wood, Stacey (Kevin) White and LaRose (Mark) Watson; and her great-grandchildren, Hayden, LaReya, Bryson, Marcus, Huxley, Brayden, Kinzie, Kylie, Hadley and Khloe.

Funeral services were held on July 16, 2022 at Atmore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Alton Lister, the Rev. Steve Breceda and the Rev. J.B. Sims officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Atmore Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
