Both lanes of Interstate 65 southbound at the 54-mile marker are blocked due to a single-vehicle crash involving a box truck that occurred this afternoon, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The lanes will be blocked for an undetermined amount of time, according to officials.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
