ECHCA names new CFO, current CFO to retire

Wes Nall has been named as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for ECHCA.

Nall will be responsible for the areas of finance, materials management, information technology, health information management and revenue cycle for the organizations under ECHCA. He will assume the role from Stephen Fischer who is set to retire later this year.

“Wes has been a great addition to our health system and has served in many capacities over the last several years as our organization continued to change,” said Stephen Fischer, ECHCA CFO. “We are very fortunate to have Wes’ hospital experience and credentials as part of our healthcare organization and I feel he will continue to provide the much-needed financial insight as we move forward with the development of our health system here in Escambia County.”

Nall has a Bachelor’s of Science in Consumer Sciences and Financial Planning from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Most recently, Wes has served as the Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) Controller. Prior to joining ECHCA, Wes has held the position of CFO for multiple entities including Monroe County Hospital, Dr. Huey Kidd’s Physician Office in Thomasville, Ala., and Tri County Medical Center in Evergreen, Ala. In addition to his CFO experience, Nall has also served as Clinic Administrator at Grove Hill Healthcare, CEO of Grove Hill Hospital and CEO of Monroe County Hospital.

Nall has also served as Chairman of the United Bank Advisory Board, Chairman of The Monroe County YMCA Board, Treasurer of the Monroeville/Monroe County Chamber of Commerce as well as coached many little league teams.

Mr. Fischer added, “Wes has also played an integral role in the transition of Atmore Community Hospital from Infirmary Health System. Over the last year, he has served as the Hospital Controller and has done an excellent job working to build a great accounting team.”
