Gex Billups has been named the interim head football coach and Cassidy Murphy has been named the athletic director of Escambia Academy athletics, officials announced today.

Headmaster Susan Kirk said in a statement that the school will be working to ehance all aspects of Cougar athletics.
“Escambia Academy would like to reassure and encourage our membership about the future of our athletic programs with the announcement of coach Cassidy Murphy as athletic director and coach Gex Billups as interim head football coach,” Kirk said.

The announcement comes a day after school officials said that Brandon Wilcox is no longer a part of the program.
