“The officer contacted the driver (Dailey), and while the officer was speaking with Dailey, he noticed the passenger was acting suspicious,” McMann said. “The officers asked Dailey if she would give consent to a search of the vehicle and she told them they could search it.”
McMann said the passenger (Roberts) was asked for her identification, and she provided a false name.

“The officers discovered she (Roberts) had provided a false name because she had knowledge she was wanted by the Escambia County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office,” he said.

Dailey was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roberts was charged with using a false name to obstruct justice.

Both were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
