Mr. Thomas Benton Qualls, 93, passed away on Sat., Oct. 8, 2022, peacefully at his home surrounded by family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sidney (Vergie Vera Whidbee) Qualls; wife of 44 years, Gladys Powell Qualls; one son, Thomas Evans Qualls; one brother, James McCoy Qualls; and one sister, Bobbie Lee Holland.

He is survived by his one son, John “JJ” Hansen, of Mobile; three daughters, Brenda “June” (Tom) McClendon, of McDavid, Fla., Deborah “Debbie” (Sean) Dimond, of Red Level and Lisa (Kenny) Rolin, of Atmore; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held this Sun., Oct. 16, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Long and the Rev. Rickey Tedder officiating.

Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 16, 2022 from 1 p.m. until service time at Unity Baptist Church.
