Escambia Academy’s cross country team took home top finishes in the AISA Junior High Invitational this week.

Danny Doerr placed third overall in the boys 3.219K run with a time of 12 minutes, 9.47 seconds; and Alexis Strength finished 12^th overall in girls, setting a personal record of 17:13.45.

In other action, Doerr finished sixth overall at the AISA varsity cross country state championship at Kiesel park in Auburn on Oct. 12. His time was 20:58.76 in the 5000 meter race.
