Mr. Joseph “Jr.” Ivey, 66, passed away on Thurs., Oct. 13, 2022 in Pensacola, Fla.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rush Hardie Ivey; one brother, Darrell Ivey; grandparents, Jurn and Ellen Moye; and one step-sister, Joann Johnson.

He is survived by his two mother, Myrtle Stephens, of Atmore; one son, Jared Lee Ivey, of Lake City, Fla.; two brothers, John (Brenda) Stephens, of Uriah and Chris (Sonya) Stephens, of Pensacola; three sisters, Janey Smith, of Perdido, Ellen Virginia Greer, of Long View, Texas and Pamela Zorin, of Leesburg, Fla.; three step-sisters, Myrtle (Floyd) Hill, of Flomaton, Linda (George) Stokes, of Castleberry and Fridie (Comer) Johnson, of Flomaton; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held today, Wed., Oct. 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with the Rev. Earl Harrison and the Rev. Wendell Hadley officiating.

Burial will follow at Bowman Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tues., Oct. 18, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.

Pallbearers will be Ron Marshal, John Stephens III, Travis Stephens, Thomas Stephens, Zyler Hollingsworth.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Miller.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC of Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
