Atmore man arrested on sodomy, enticing child charges

An Atmore man was arrested Nov. 24 on sodomy and enticing charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Erick Dailey, 51, of Atmore, was charged with sodomy II and enticing a child.

McMann said on Nov. 24, just after midnight, APD officers responded to Swift Street in reference to an alleged sexual assault of a minor under the age of 13.

“When the officers arrived on the scene, they contacted an adult family member of the victim,” McMann said. “The family member forced the suspect, Erick Dailey, 51, of Atmore, out of the residence.”

McMann said responding officers located and detained McReynolds and contacted the on-call investigator.

Dailey was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
