Several Christmas-themed events are around the bend for Atmore.

Here are the events scheduled by date:

Dec. 1

The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its Santa in the Park at First National Bank and Trust’s green space next to the bank on South Main Street from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Additionally, Jingle Bell Walk, a downtown Atmore holiday shopping event, will be held at the same time as the Santa in the Park event.

The Christmas Tree Lighting at the FNBT park at 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 9

The Poarch Creek Indians (PCI) will be holding its Christmas Parade at 5:30 p.m.

Dec. 10

The annual Atmore Twilight Christmas Parade will be held at 5:30 p.m.

The parade is sponsored by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s theme is Christmas Movies.

Chamber officials are now taking registrants for the parade. The entry fee is $10 each.

Nov. 26 to Dec. 16

Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt is being held. Pick up a passport at a downtown business and find those elves.
