A potential slate of strong to severe storms are forecasted to occur in our area Wednesday, according to the Escambia County EMA.

Director David Adams said in a release that the storms will occur Wednesday and Wednesday night, specifically in the afternoon and evening.

Adams said the weather potential is for damaging winds and a few tornadoes with localized heavy rainfall possible.

Adams said the tornado threat, while possible across the entire area, will be most likely down along the coastal counties.

The confidence of these storms occurring is low to medium, but increasing, he said.
