Mrs. Claudia Jean Morris Dawson, 78, passed away on Thurs., Jan. 5, 2023, in Atmore.

Mrs. Dawson is preceded in death by her parents, Claude John (Alvie Etheridge) Morris; husband, Bill Dawson; two sisters, Carolyn (Harold) Davis and Jeanette Stewart; and one brother in law, Silas Ganey.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Mike) Holt, of Flomaton and Marcy (Tim) McAnally, of Atmore; one sister, Voncille Ganey, of Stockton; four grandchildren Jordan Barnett, Lauren (Alex) Klyczek, Nolan (Tyler) McAnally and Tristan (Hannah) McAnally; five great-grandchildren, Landon Barnett, Luke Barnett, Ava Ray Klyczek, Nikko McAnally and Harlow McAnally; one brother in law, Iria Martin Stewart, of Bay Minette; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held this Sun., Jan. 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with Sis. Helen Stewart and the Rev. Ricky Tedder officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Level Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Jan. 7, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.

Pallbearers will be Nolan McAnally, Tyler Pierce McAnally, Tristan McAnally, Alex Klyczek, Michael Hyatt and Johnathan Kelley.
