The good citizens were eligible to participate in the National DAR Scholarship Contest, which included background information in school and community and an essay.

One winner’s package from each chapter could be selected to advance to district to compete with entries from Baldwin and Mobile counties. The district winner advances to state, the state winner then advances to national.

The Fort Mims Chapter winner was Huggins.

Recognition of each winner will be given at awards day or senior recognition day at the end of the school year.
