Ruby Wilson Barker, 95, passed away on Fri., Feb. 10, 2023.

Ms. Ruby was born on August 4, 1927 in Atmore to Benjamin Hub Wilson and Lula Mae Carraway Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; her daughter, Patricia Ann Thompson; and her granddaughter, Tammy Durden Gates.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Shaw of Pensacola, Fla. and Kay Durden (Ronnie) of Grand Ridge, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Wendy (Fritz), Billy (Andrea), Danny (Lori), Buddy (Sidney), John (Marian) Belinda (Mike), Amy (John) and Phillip (April); 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services were held on Feb. 13, 2023 at Johnson Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore with the Rev. Jeb Miller officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
